BtW, if u make each npc have his own set of animations- like, say- Starkiler has BH style, dooku bent-saber-style, anakin has heavy and rapid- then u will be able to make some sort of TC, where you choose this or that combat style, not just character wink
And it obviously would have the more realistic feeling.
(Also, if we make, say, 5 or 6 trooper models- identical, apart from the animations they are using- and it will Look as if the same NPC reacts differentely- even more impressive than euphoria, lol)

I plan on making more saber styles, but I'm limited by the lack of sp code.

1. I can't add styles to the game, I can only overwrite them. I can kind of get around this by applying animations specifically to a model like what I've done for the SA and Link. That let's me make a style that only that person would use at the expense of another style. No staff for SA and no duals for Link.

2. I can't change the transitions between attacks. Think of how much the player spins while using 2 sabers. I can't remove the fact he has to spin for those. I can animate them as non-spins (called 'arcs') but the lower legs will not behave like they do in the arcs. I have a plan to make a really cool Makashi style, but since I can't change transitions from spins to arcs, it's not going to work.

I can make as many models we want have specific animations. Evey time I do though it adds at least 13 mb to the mod. 3 or so for the model, and 10 for the animations.

yea well my plan was to add specific animations to important characters with different styles then others like Sa for example. And the main characters of the mod. So what i mean is we wont make specific animations for every single jedi. We will use the same stances for most of the characters.

also for the yoda i was wondering if you could do that?

and if you could do a run/walk similar to this where he holds it with one hand
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXyu6R3Pc1c

But like i said only if your not filled with work.

Stance: no problem
Run: no problem
Walk: same as default JA. Do you want me to make a walk where he holds the saber one handed?

Thanks for the pic. That will make my job much easier.
I'm open to the idea of making more fighting styles, but I'm going to wait for more progress with the maps. I don't want to start styles for characters that may be cut or not used in the end.

well the walk is fine if it stays base jka tongue

and your right it would suck making a style for a character that wont be used.
though to give you an idea, Vader, revan, sidious, dooku and darth maul will be surely used and the important jedis they fight too like obi yoda mace windu etc. wink

Here is the rough draft of Yoda's stance.

I have a run I did that is similar to what the jedi use in the game Battlefront 2. I'll just use that for Yoda.

I'll give that a shot then. I just wanted to make sure not to have the saber touch his ears.
